[Feature request] Add more options on browser extensions and mobile apps #108

Hi ! Sorry, I have a request.

I've been trying to switch from Linkding to Hoarder, but I've been missing some features.

I don't use AI much to generate the tagging, as I like to do it personally, however it's tedious to do it afterwards, on the same Hoarder website without being able to edit it while adding it with the browser extension.

I would like to know if it is possible to add some additional options, such as Title, Tags, List, etc.

I leave an example of what to do Linkding when adding a bookmark through the browser as an example.

I would be very grateful to be able to do this. Have a nice day.

Hi, this should be coming very very soon :) It's very high on my todo list :)

The browser extension is now completed in https://github.com/MohamedBassem/hoarder-app/commit/77b1aba5acc66dfaeb02b08d60d88442336026a6. It's released as version 1.2.0 which is available now in firefox and pending google's review for chrome (give it a day or so).

Will do the mobile apps next!

Chosen lists do not appear after clicking on them for me under Chrome. Although they are being added to Hoarder, there is no feedback. However, tags work fine.

MohamedBassem commented 7 months ago

@lucius346346 ah, I found the problem. This uses an API that's not released yet in version 0.12. It should work once 0.13 is release. Sorry about that. Should have tested backward compatibility.

is there still something missing? the extension allows editing tags and lists now

krokosik commented 1 month ago

I am missing creating lists in extension the way you can do with tags, but that may be because I just started using Hoarder (loving it!) and need to create a lot of them. It's annoying to have to go to the new tab just to do it.

Also it would be nice if the extension pop up opens when a bookmark is added using the keyboard shortcut. This doesn't happen for me on Firefox 130. Would be nice to use it and not have to still click on the extension to set the tags and lists.

kamtschatka commented 1 month ago

what is the keyboard shortcut? i didn't even know that exists.

krokosik commented 1 month ago

alt+shift+L

kamtschatka commented 1 month ago

are you sure? does not work for me and I can also not find any reference to the "command" api in the extension, which is where you would register those keyboard shortcuts. are you maybe using some other extension? (we are talking about https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/hoarder/kgcjekpmcjjogibpjebkhaanilehneje, right?)

krokosik commented 1 month ago

Uhh, I might have messed it up as I tried several link organizers before settling on this one. I vaguely remembered this shortcut and I guess I just clicked on the extension afterwards and saw that it has been added. My bad

Would it be possible to add a keyboard shortcut and the ability to configure it?

I think It would be a decent addition.
