Sounds like this would work if you have maybe 10 tags, but after that it will just clutter the UI, so I don't see how that would be a good feature. Do you have a different vision for that?
Overall, there will be an improved search in the future, where you will be able to combine tags and other properties. Additionally I am planning to add a query language where you can then simply write something like tags in ["<yourtag>"]
I get what you say about clutter but if they are Organized Tags alphabetically it helps the user so that he doesn't need to remember all the tags, they just click and go (screenshot attached). Maybe others have better related ideas, I hope they chime in.
Interesting, those features would be a bonus :)
i mean this helps, but i personally have about 100 tags and not that much in hoarder at the moment. There is an issue open where someone has 4000 tags, that wouldn't even fit on a single page^^
How is the app you took the screenshot of handling this?
a 100 tags !! I am not sure how you, others remember all their tag names but to answer your question, you could put a search box for the tags thereby filtering them on the right pane as the user types characters
The app that I took the screenshot from is Linkding, I am not sure how it handles it but if I were to take a guess it only picks the first 3-4 tags for each alphabet. So a maximum of 26 tags vertically (one for each alphabet)
@joel72265 In Hoarder, given that tags are usually automatically generated, it's expected that you'll have tonnes of them. The one that are more "curated" are the lists, which users create and manage themselves and that's why they are the one that appear in the sidebar.
Thank you for a wonderful app
New Feature: show user created tags on the Home page for faster filtering of bookmarks rather than click on Tags in the sidebar and then select the tag.
