Check for New Miranda at Profile Manager #81

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

As opposed to checking for a new version of Miranda after you launch your
profile, the ability to check it BEFORE you choose one.

Just, an update button that is.

I don't see how this would work since most people do not launch the profile
manager by
default.

Well not as a replacement, just another option. It can still check after like
normal,
I just was thinking a button there for people that well.. do launch the profile
manager.

But hey, its just a suggestion.

Actually, may I change the suggestion to "More configurable update options" ?

The ability to decide when, if, how (automatically perhaps?), and such?

glltgm: anyway the check will require the restart... so imho it doesn't matter
when/where to check.

Point taken

I just don't like everything signing in at once on startup and then restarting
and
signing off all my IRC networks and aim/msn/yahoo/gtalk/xfire accounts and then
when
I sign on a dozen people going WHATS WRONG WHY ARE YOU SIGNING IN AND OUT

(I'm just saying they tend to use caps, I'm not trying to sound mean or
anything. I
could come at this from the other way, being how do I control my statuses on
startup
better.)

SimpleAway (older plugin) I'm using ignores my lock status seemingly. Not your
problem but, all I'm trying to do is display updating winamp music in my
statuses.
Perhaps you have a better solution for my specific problem other than what I'm
asking
for?
