Change background color between chart and margins

is it possible to change the background color between chart and margins 
I can force the chart back color but haven't found how to make all the 
background white for example
Using getTimeChartView with latelst lib 1.0

Got it, just set setMarginsColor of the renderer

Anyway setting the background color to transparent has no effect
I just would like not to apply a specific color but use the selected theme one, 
and have the same background inside and outside margins.
haven't found how to do it yet

is it possible to implement Color.transparent?
Applying holo light theme, my background is white but margin color is always 
black (not setting it or setting as Color.transparent)
