RFortran does not work on 64 bit R (v2.12.x)

This limitation is because statconnDCOM does not have a 64 bit version yet, 
though it is under development.

When this is available, the 64 bit version of RFortran can begin development.

Mark,

Any news on the 64-bit RFortran?

With DMSL, BATEA and MATFortran now all but 64-bit, what am I supposed to do 
with the _RFortran projects?

It will also be increasingly constraining to the community of RFortran users, 
as 64-bit computing oozes into the mainstream ...

It is dependent on 64 bit version of statconnDCOM (see above). A quick look on 
their website sees that it is not yet available. I will contact Thomas to check 
on progress  in near future.
