Hello.

I am actually setting up a simulation model in HYSTEM-EXTRAN, So I have ISYBAU-XML file as Pipe network and I have areas in shapefiles formats. As those areas are large in numbers. I want to connect them to nearby Pipes automatically. I know it is possible in Qkan to connect those area to pipes. However, I don't find step by step procedure to do the same.

Could you please provide some material or any link where I can find the procedure. It will be good if it is in English.

I have seen some Videos and documents shared by you, where it shows that it is possible with Qkan and Then We can Export it to HYSTEM-EXTRAN for simulations.

Please let me know, How I can do that step by step in QGIS- Qkan.

Thanks and Look forward for the same.

Hello there, sorry for the late response. Our workflow for the connection of areas to pipes is available at: https://www.fh-aachen.de/fileadmin/people/fb02_hoettges/QKan/Doku/Qkan_workflow.html. The steps that you have to make are the import of your channelnetwork and your areas. The areas have to be in the layer Flächen. Then you can add an subarea to the layer Teilgebiet, this allows you to only consider elements within the subarea. Next you have to assign runoff parameters to your areas. Then you can choose the function „Erzeuge Verknüpfungslinien von Flächen zu Haltungen“ to connect the areas to the pipes. At this menu you have among other things the option to change the radius in within the areas should be connected with the pipes. Unfortunately, we do not have our instructions in english. At the moment it is also not planed to publish an complete english version from our QKan plugin. Best regards, Nora
