Fur doesn't work via old/original BF #14

Investigate upgrade path to new BF version w/ fur issue resolved.

This means people can go back to using the old BF if they so choose, alongside Droolie's updated version. Need to figure out how this is going to work in practice, though.

I've made a start on it.
