Dependency on rgdal

This package depends on the "rgdal" which is no longer available at CRAN.

The package is not being updated at the moment, the INPE server that the package run is offline since end of 2023, with no estimate of when it will be online again. Until this problem is fixed by INPE, the package will not be updated.

do you have any details on the INPE's server? Currently, I hold an scholarship at INPE SJC; perhaps I could talk to somebody here to try to fix the issue.

The problem is in Projeta server at CPTEC/INPE Cachoeira Paulista. I received this information from Dra.Chou Sin Chan at CPTEC.
