  1. I assume most people do NOT have permissions to the oss branch of this repo.
  2. Is oss a branch, a remote, or a repo? If a repo, are we suggesting people should raise PRs from a separate repo?

Oh yeah so this repo is the OSS repo, there is an internal (Netflix) repo, but if anyone else makes an internal repo then there own magic times.

Sounds like export_external.sh was born out of necessity for multiple repos. However I'm still confused how these private contributions should work. Maybe you can show me and I can update the readme?
