Hello @holgerbrandl!

Can we make a release with last commits? I have used GUESS_MAX value as you suggested.

Arrow IO module is added "as is", currently it works only with Feather (not with IPC Stream) and only with one batch per file. You can left or remove it.

For your information, Arrow on Java 17 requires --add-opens java.base/java.nio=ALL-UNNAMED JVM parameter. On Java 11 it is not necessary.

Bumped version to v0.18 (because of new features and not just fixes) and deployed to maven central. Thanks for your great contribution!
