Pipeline updates and code reusability #267

@philippjfr I just wanted to ask or make sure that we were thinking about code reusability with the changes that you made to the Panel Pipeline this morning. I'm thinking of the grabcut app and I really like how the same code base can be implemented in the notebook or as an app. Will that still be true of the new approach?

We discussed this in a meeting, I don't think there's an issue.
