I've just filed an ITP to package it for Debian. Will push appropriate debian/ scripts to my fork of this repo, on branch master; they're done now except the build dependencies. This would flow into Ubuntu in due course, and in the meantime would provide debian/rules to build a .deb which should work in Ubuntu.
Would welcome testers, and/or co-maintainers.
I've uploaded the built package to Debian, where it is waiting in the new queue. It uses the tip of the development branch rather than the latest release, because the v0.2.0 tag is dated March 2015.

Thx, I'll have a look on occasion.
Hi there, I would really like to test the app but the link toward the deb package you gave returns a 404 error.
Is there any other way to install the app on ubuntu ? Thx in advance.
Sure. It has made its way out of the "new" queue, was accepted into Debian "unstable", and is now also in Debian "testing" and the debian-derivative distribution Ubuntu "Yakkety Yak" which is roughly analogous to Debian "testing".
Thanks a lot ! I just installed the amd64 .deb package and I do receive every notifications perfectly :). However when I launch Nuntius on my desktop it just displays a window named "Certificate Fingerprint" with a QR Code and when I click on "Ok" it shuts down the window. Is it normal ?
Problem solved, I did not install all the required dependencies. Works perfectly !
This sort of thing should be automatic. Please tell me which dependencies were missing! Then I can have the package either Require: or Suggest: them, as appropriate.
if you use gdebi it works perfectly.
Is it planned to release user friendly .deb packages or an up to date repository to install the latest version with ease? IMHO, at the moment a lot of potential users are discouraged to test and eventually use your program without having an easy installation process.
BTW, an easy step by step guide for beginners how to install your app on Ubuntu would be a good start.
