Opening notebook hangs Carnets but runs fine in Carnets+ #253

I have a notebook which will not open in Carnets (I get a blank screen and Carnets appears hung). However, the same notebook opens fine in Carnets+. Running test versions of both apps.

Correction: None of my notebooks will open in Carnets but they work in Carnets+

I reinstalled Carnets from the AppStore and got same result.

I suspect something has corrupted the extensions that Carnets loads with each notebook. Since the extensions are specific to the app, that would explain the different behaviour between Carnets and Carnets+. One workaround might be to change the distribution (from notebook to retrolab, for example) since the different distributions use different extensions.

Sorry if this should be obvious but how do I change between retrolab and notebook? Also, is there a way to simply get rid of the possibly corrupted extensions in Carnets? It doesn't seem to matter whether I download the version from the App Store or TestFlight (I guess they are the same). I am unable to open any of my notebooks in Carnet yet all of them work fine in Carnets plus

Reinstalling the app does not change the files in your home directory (the one you see in the Files app), nor the files inside ~/Library. So if your problem is inside these directories, reinstalling will not fix the issue. What you can do is:
