tuya can't show devices in more than 1 hub in the same time #100516

Open sgabran opened 1 year ago

sgabran commented 1 year ago

The problem

Hi I have 2 Tuya hubs integrated in HA. Each hub belongs to a Tuya account. I can only display devices in hub at a time, and the other hub shows as "no devices or entities". Is there a solution for this ? thanks

Hey there @tuya, @zlinoliver, @frenck, mind taking a look at this issue as it has been labeled with an integration (tuya) you are listed as a code owner for? Thanks!

Code owner commands Code owners of `tuya` can trigger bot actions by commenting: - `@home-assistant close` Closes the issue. - `@home-assistant rename Awesome new title` Renames the issue. - `@home-assistant reopen` Reopen the issue. - `@home-assistant unassign tuya` Removes the current integration label and assignees on the issue, add the integration domain after the command.

Hi, I've the same problem with 1 Smart Life and 1 Tuya Smart account. My HA server is up to date. Thanks

sgabran commented 1 year ago

the issue i have is: my friend and I have our separate tuya accounts, and we are tryining to integrate devices on our separate tuya accounts on HA. HA can connect to devices in single tuya account at a time.

I have this exact same issue. I have one Smart Life device and one Tuya Smart device. I even tried to create a Tuya IOT project that included both devices, but HA only recognized one of the devices.

Same issue here. Need to reload an account to switch to its devices, but devices on the other account get lost. In short, only one active account seems to be supported at the moment by this Tuya integration

MaximalMax07 commented 1 year ago

same here

BrianGGG commented 1 year ago

It's not ideal, but I was able to work around this by adding both devices to my Smart Life account (both Tuyas seems to be OK with this). I then was able to see both devices in HA with the single Smart Life account.

MaximalMax07 commented 1 year ago

well that wouldnt work for me because my parents and me are using different accounts, but i would like to have access to all devices with on home assistant

Hi Brian. How exactly could you add (=registrer) the 2 devices to your Smart Life account, and keep them at them same time registered under their original Tuya Smart app.

dHamburgler commented 1 year ago

+1 here. Only 1 hub can be loaded, the other shows no devices. HA Version 2023.10.3.

Thanks!

Hi Brian. How exactly could you add (=registrer) the 2 devices to your Smart Life account, and keep them at them same time registered under their original Tuya Smart app.

For me, I only needed to manage both of my devices from HA. I didn't care whether they were registered from Tuya or Smart Life. So, I unregistered one device from Tuya and added it to my exisiting Smart Life instance.

I honestly don't know if a single device could co-exist in Smart Life and Tuya at the same time...

Same issue on HA 2023.10.5 for me.

I've been trying to figure this out this morning (couldn't sleep, :coffee: required, so forgive me in advance).

What I've been able to figure out is that each hub can be configured just fine, but it looks as though the devices (as shown in the logfile) are overwritten by the last loaded hub.

I dare say my setup is more complicated than it needs to be because I've got a Tuya iot account for myself and my gran (I'm just trying to make sure she doesn't freeze over winter), and both of those iot accounts have a tuya app and a smartlife app (I can flatten them to make things easier).

You need a hub per app even if you've added two apps to one tuya iot account, so in my case I had to configure 4 hubs. (yes, I could at least flatten that to one by moving devices from one app to the other).

Started working again tonight (I think it was tonight), running 2023.12.1.

joachimwussow commented 11 months ago

I am also running into the problem of two Smart Life accounts The last reload kills the other account. Is there a limit on devices? I am at approx 170 and not all were loading properly. This is one reason for the additional account. HA 2023.12.1

Having the same problem for a long time. I was able to solve it using a HACS integration called smartlife, but stopped working after intalling HA 2024.06 :( Now I must chose between loading my Tuya devices or the ones in Smartlife. Not ideal at all :(

Redspray00 commented 3 months ago

Same issue, this could be solved by allowing all the devices under each hub/app or by allowing multiple Tuya instances. Developers, please solve!
