Furthermore, even if you purge the stats for the deleted entity, manually verify that it was removed from core.config_entries
and restart, the same incorrect unit persists when you create the entity with the same id and new unit.
There hasn't been any activity on this issue recently. Due to the high number of incoming GitHub notifications, we have to clean some of the old issues, as many of them have already been resolved with the latest updates. Please make sure to update to the latest Home Assistant version and check if that solves the issue. The problem
If I try to change a time unit in a derivate helper form %/min to %/h, in the Config --> Helper --> Helper Name UI, the change is stored and shown correctly in the Options View but the system in the background does not follow the change. If the Derivate Helper was created with %/min then it will stay for all the time being. Also if I delete that Helper and create a new one with the same Entity ID but with changed Time Unit the old data with the old Time Unit is still present in the database. That the old data of the deleted helper is still present and can not manually be deleted is in my opinion a bug. If I delete a helper which stores data then there should be a possibility to choose if the corresponding data should be deleted as well or it should be kept in the data storage.
