Shelly Temp add-on shows double temperature for a coupe of seconds #109616

The problem

I have some shelly plus devices with the add-on installed. I added temperature sensors (DHT22) to two of my devices.

The shelly integration shows the temperatures, but from time to time values are exactly doubled (!) for 5-10 seconds.

See Screenshot:

Temp before and after was 9,6° but suddenly 19,2° (9,6 * 2).

I don't know if this is a bug within the shelly integration or delivered by the shelly this way.

Hi @Bascht74, please add the following to configuration.yaml , restart HA, and post the log:

logger:
  default: warning
  logs:
    homeassistant.components.shelly: debug
    aioshelly: debug

Note: it is better to drag the log into the comment (which will add it as an attachment) and not copy paste as it is hard to read logs in GitHub.

And add diagnostics (menu configuration -> integration -> shelly -> download diagnostics )

The log is very big, serveral 100 MB big. I saved it locally.

Is there a command to filter out only one device (B8D61A86A338) and not show any "ble.scan_result"...?

Seems the device has some issues, not only the values spikes but you also get 'errors': ['out_of_range']

Please share the log with Shelly support, there is anything that can be done on HA to fix those issues.

Do you mean "nothgin that can be done"?

I will open a ticket at Shelly, because I have those problems with two devices.

values spikes but you also get 'errors': ['out_of_range'] As i wrote "something" is doubling these values from time to time. If you double a high humidity it will become out of range (because 2 x 99.9% > 100% as maximum)

I got an answer from Shelly:

To solve your problem, please install a 10uF capacitor between VCC and GND. This should stabilize the mains frequency when reading the values.

Enclosed is a picture of the installation option.
