Still Having Issues Opening Canary Camera Feeds #115530

The problem

Not sure if there have been any further fixes since the patch to this in 2023. I'm unable to view image preview and video feed is not available.

My config is as follows:

Version core-2024.4.3 Installation Type Home Assistant OS Development false Supervisor true Docker true User root Virtual Environment false Python Version 3.12.2 Operating System Family Linux Operating System Version 6.6.25-haos CPU Architecture aarch64

What version of Home Assistant Core has the issue?

What type of installation are you running?

Same for me, no camera feed for more than a year.

I have lost temperature and humidity readings as well, for a bit over a month. I unfortunately do not have the ability to fix it, and I am curious if there is a large enough number of users for someone to have time to invest in it.

Same for me, no camera feed for more than a year. BTW: temperature and humidity readings fail as well since approximately March this year. Came back for 13 min after a reboot following the latest HA update 25.2

The last time I was informed about this kind of issue, it was the format imported from the Canary server that changed slightly, making it impossible for the integration to read the correct values.

I am also interested in this integration. If the format has changed on the server, can't that be fixed by this integration? Is it really impossible?

It is entirely possible. Someone with enough knowledge likely could go here and fix the thing for everyone. https://github.com/home-assistant/core/blob/dev/homeassistant/components/canary/sensor.py

Temperature and Humidity sensors are now reporting again - fixed in HA Core update 2024.6.4 - Thank you, I was about to bin these silly Canaries! No video feed still.

I just added the integration, so it's all new for me. I have access to the sensors information but I can't see the live feed. I have added "ffmpeg:" in my configuration.yaml...

My bad I thought it was the thread about the temp and humidity sensors. For what I know, no one ever got the cameras to work more than getting a still preview. Sorry.
