unable to add Kmtronic integration - just reporting "unexpected error" #117362

Closed gklank closed 6 months ago

gklank commented 6 months ago

The problem

Using the KMTronic LAN <> DS1820 Tiny

Testing as standalone:

  1. all of my three dallas device are shown correctly
  2. temperature measurement is working. All looks functioning.

Trying to add the kmtronic integration into HA as documented.

  1. pressed add integration
  2. Filledin correct IP-address 2a. check with a wrong IP-address, I am getting then "connection failed" --> therefore the correct one is connected
  3. filled in the right user and password - checked several time, used an other user / password instead of admin / admin

--> getting just the message "unexpected error".

Any tipps or ideas are appreciated!

Regards

Gerhard

Hey there @dgomes, mind taking a look at this issue as it has been labeled with an integration (kmtronic) you are listed as a code owner for? Thanks!

What device do you have ?

We currently only support kmtronic devices with relay's (no DS1820 support)

Hi,

I am using: https://www.kmtronic.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=112

with three of these "DS18B20" Sensors.

Your web ui "192.168.1.199" shows these three correctly. Also temperature changes are updated rapidly and correct.

I am not sure if the is a supported one for Home Assistant or not. Therefore I need an advice how to proceed?

But if not supported this issue can be closed and I will send the device back.

Regards

Gerhard

The web ui of KMtronic is unrelated to Home Assistant.

We only support: https://www.kmtronic.com/LAN-Relay-Controllers

It's not that it is impossible to support your device, is just that no developer (HA) has access to one such devices.
