Home Assistant Blue - Bluetooth integrated devices no longer work after upgrading from 2024.6.0 to 2024.6.1 #119539

The problem

I had to immediately downgrade after updating because the Blue runs at a second home. I have dozens of ble bluetooth sensors and a Yale door lock that all rely on the bluetooth to be sensed and controlled. After upgrading, none of them can connect anymore. Sorry that I could not grab logs but I suspect others with a blue will have the same exact issue.

What version of Home Assistant Core has the issue?

2024.6.1

What was the last working version of Home Assistant Core?

2024.6.0

What type of installation are you running?

Home Assistant OS

Integration causing the issue

Yale Access Bluetooth, Xiaomi BLE, Airthings BLE

I've also noticed the same issue. Have you found a fix other than rolling back?

fletchto99 commented 3 months ago

I was able to resolve this issue by removing both the August and the Yale integrations, the adding the august one first followed by the yale bluetooth one. Note that before setting up the yale bluetooth one I needed to ensure that the lock was in bluetooth mode by accessing it via my phone and then reloading the august integration.

@fletchto99 Thanks for sharing ! I have not resolved but I am going to try your solution in late August. The blue runs at a second home of ours that I cannot make it to until then. Hoping the above works for me as well because I hate ignoring updates. :-). Thanks for sharing !!
