Open darkmac78 opened 3 months ago

The problem

From time to time I see on my TV that the ethernet card shortly disconnects and reconnects instantly. On HA I see the logs showing that the Sony TV powers off and back on in the same minute. Is there in any way possible that HA is the culprit here?

What version of Home Assistant Core has the issue?

2024.6.2

What was the last working version of Home Assistant Core?

I updated the core 2 time since the issue

What type of installation are you running?

Due to the fact that some TV models do not maintain a network connection when they are in stand-by mode, the integration marks TV as off when it is offline.

The question is if the notification I get randomly on the TV, is it because of an action that HA performs, or it can be a coincidence and it's not related to HA? The time match, but I'm not sure if I should blame HA or not for this sudden disconnection.

@darkmac78

I don't think your problem is related to integration.

Anyway, you can test the connection with the TV with disabled integration for a few days and let us know.

Added an etry once by IP, two devices show up and they are the exact same device. Does not do anything. Even weith the TV on, the remote shows it's off and does absolutely nothing on either of the devices.
