androidtv_remote spamming log + minor spelling issue #120513

Open BoneheadFraggle opened 1 week ago

BoneheadFraggle commented 1 week ago

The problem

androidtvremote2 is spamming the logs, by repeating the same message every 20 seconds. The error message does not include the device name, so it is hard to know which devices (or if several) that cause the error.

Also a minor spelling issue in the error message ".. storage of the Android TV Remove Service system app" should be ".. storage of the Android TV Remote Service system app".

What version of Home Assistant Core has the issue?

core-2024.6.4

What was the last working version of Home Assistant Core?

core-2024.6.3 (I think, I haven't seen the error before)

What type of installation are you running?

Home Assistant OS

Integration causing the issue

androidtv_remote

You should be able to tell which device it is. If you go to the Android TV Remote integration page you should see a failed setup entry. The device should also be reported as unavailable. You could also try sending a command to all of your devices. The one that will fail is the problematic device. To fix it you will have to do what the logs say.

I'll work on adding the device name in the logs, fixing the typo and reducing the reconnects for this type of error.
