you probably as well have an issue with recorder.purge... https://github.com/home-assistant/core/issues/121164

rrooggiieerr commented 1 week ago

Are you using the Places, hass-variables or iCloud V3 integration? Then updating or disabling those might help

bfojtan commented 1 week ago

I am experiencing similar issue after update (2024.7.1). Stats are randomly freezing. (Stat sources have different integrations, eg. Shelly, Fronius, etc...) image

bdraco commented 1 week ago

Its likely caused by either of these : https://community.home-assistant.io/t/psa-2024-7-recorder-problems/746428 https://github.com/home-assistant/core/issues/117263

Hey there @home-assistant/core, mind taking a look at this issue as it has been labeled with an integration (recorder) you are listed as a code owner for? Thanks!

Code owner commands Code owners of `recorder` can trigger bot actions by commenting: - `@home-assistant close` Closes the issue. - `@home-assistant rename Awesome new title` Renames the issue. - `@home-assistant reopen` Reopen the issue. - `@home-assistant unassign recorder` Removes the current integration label and assignees on the issue, add the integration domain after the command. - `@home-assistant add-label needs-more-information` Add a label (needs-more-information, problem in dependency, problem in custom component) to the issue. - `@home-assistant remove-label needs-more-information` Remove a label (needs-more-information, problem in dependency, problem in custom component) on the issue.

Any correction in 2024.7.2 ? I need to restart HA every morning when I wake up or no data is stored

bdraco commented 1 week ago

This is either a duplicate of https://github.com/home-assistant/core/issues/117263 or the icloud3 issue mentioned in https://community.home-assistant.io/t/psa-2024-7-recorder-problems/746428 which are both solved in 2024.7.2

mfmanca2000 commented 1 week ago

After having installed 2024.7.2 and rebooted (twice) the situation got worse. Before this update a reboot was sufficient for the stats to work again at least until 4am... Now they don't restart working.

I'll wait another day before starting to cry ...

I got it working again. But only with all hacs repos disabled. It sucks...

You are probably rebooting in the middle of the table rebuild so it has to start all over

let it be for a few hours

mfmanca2000 commented 1 week ago

I confirm that I had to wait around 3 hours for the rebuild of the table but I also have to announce that statistics stopped again at 4am this morning. I had to reboot again for them to restart.

Is there anything interesting in the log?

tackin commented 1 week ago

For me: Update from 2024.7.1 to 2024.7.2 fixed the recorder-problem. Auto-purge was enabled again yesterday and did not break recording this night at 4:00 o'clock. I also manually started the service recorder.purge this morning with "repack"-Option. It worked as well and that shrinked my database to less than 50%.

Is there anything interesting in the log?

Is there a way to retrieve the logs of before the reboot?
