MiFlora Flower Care iBeacon unavailable

The problem

I have the Flower Care sensor working with the Xiaome BLE integration for a couple of months now, connected through a Bluetooth proxy. I never got the iBeacon Tracker integration to work with this sensor, and I read somewhere, this is not possible anyway. However, last week, around the time, ESPHome version 2024.6.6 was installed (only updated the addon, no new firmware deployed), suddenly there it was: iBeacon Tracker for the Flower Care Device.

Today, after I installed Home Assistant 2024.7.2, the iBeacon Tracker disappeared again.

Can anybody make any sense of this?

I also have a couple of MiFlora Flower Care in and around the house and use the Xiaomi BLE integration to read out the devices, I think they should actually be auto detected by that integration. what does the iBeacon integration has to offer for these devices?
