Cannot add LIFX switch to Home Assistant

The problem

Home Assistant cannot add a LIFX switch. It discovers the switch in discovery but then fails to add it with the message "cannot_connect"

Please check the documentation: the LIFX integration does not support the LIFX Switch. You need to use the HomeKit Controller integration, at least until the Matter firmware for the Switch is released at some point.
