Acmeda Rollease shades aren't showing battery status any longer #122344

Open papaavi opened 1 month ago

papaavi commented 1 month ago

The problem

Edit (10 min later): I now see the percentages in all the places (HA dashboard and Apple Home app) after I did the following:

  1. Within HA dashboard, press gear icon for entity
  2. Change nothing
  3. Press Update
  4. Repeat for all shades and tada! I'd say this is a workaround rather than a fix and the issue I have called out in troubleshooting is also still present. As a result, I'll leave this still open for others to see and if @atmurray can investigate these issues.

Battery status is no longer visible in the entities or as it appears in the dashboard (it was working fine a couple months ago). When I click into a battery entity I see a graph and if I click on the graph I see a percentage but this value is no longer visible on the top-level of the entity, rather it reads "Unknown".

Troubleshooting methods include restarting home assistant, reloading the integration (I've noticed in the past couple months I need to reload the integration anytime I restart HA (os) now or the shades won't work in Home App via the HomeKit bridge).

I'd also like to give great appreciation to you @atmurray for supporting this integration. If it wasn't for this integration, I would have never used HASS and I'm so grateful to have found it some years ago!
