Google Calendar: Inconsistent or wrong information in Add Credentials dialog #128379

Open NoRi2909 opened 1 week ago

The problem

When setting up the Google Calendar integration this screen comes up:

Screenshot 2024-10-14 20 16 33

At the bottom it says to set this up for "TV and limited input devices".

This contradicts what is said in the online docs: https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/google/

Step 13:

Set the Application type to Web application and give this credential set a name (like “Home Assistant Credentials”).

Thanks for catching that. Both will work but we prefer web now to share with other integrations.

@allenporter Yes, noticed that while going over the German translations in Lokalise.

All other Google integrations have "Select Web application for the Application Type." as the last step.
