Tuya climate entity state is always "off" #51397

The problem

I added an Inkbird ITC-308 via the Tuya integration. It works well as long as I set the dividers to 10. I can see and set the current temperature. But it always shows the state as "off"! Would be nice to know when the device is in heat or cool mode.

These devices have a single target temperature set, and then will heat or cool as needed to hit that temperature.

Hey there @ollo69, mind taking a look at this issue as its been labeled with an integration (tuya) you are listed as a codeowner for? Thanks! (message by CodeOwnersMention)

I've had issues with this since installing HA a few months back. This is with the zigbee tuya sensors, You can turn them on but they report that they are off shortly afterwards
