VolvoOnCall - Incorrect battery charging status #59014

Closed jh71283 closed 2 years ago

jh71283 commented 3 years ago

The problem

The Volvo on call integration seems to have 2 states for the battery cherge status, but there is another: Paused.

The car allows me to set a timer that it will only charge between 00:00 and 05:00 for cheaper energy.

Right now, the car is plugged in, but is not charging.

The Volvo Cars app is showing that it is paused.

Home assistant is reporting that it is unplugged.

When it is plugged in, it shows that it is plugged in for a short time, but then goes to unplugged.

2021.12 will include a change to the Volvo integration that allows showing 2 binary sensors for charge status: plugged in and charging. It should help clarify what's happening. Hope that helps.
