Please have a look in to Home Assistant log if you can spot any issues there. Can you confirm that they haven't be re-created as another entity ?
Hi,
thanks for your answer. I already did a rollback, but upgraded now again.
Yesterday i had two OSRAM Lightstrips not working. Today one of them is available and i was able to insert the recreated entity in my config. the old switch wasnt working, since the entity was recreated, by the update.
The other Lightstrip is shown under devices, but is says "not available". Its still works fine with my hue app and with my backup.
I couldnt find any hue related errors/notifications in my logfiles besides maybe:

If you toggle the light from the Hue app, does it become available then ? A light is shown as "unavailable" when it is being reported as "offline" by the Hue api. So maybe this light is having some connectivity issues.
To confirm, open the Hue app, go to settings, lights and look if there is some message about the light not available. Maybe simply power toggling the light is enough to bring it back to life (remove power cord, wait 10 seconds, apply power again).

Hey there @balloob, mind taking a look at this issue as it has been labeled with an integration (hue
) you are listed as a code owner for? Thanks!

It stays unavailable.
It works fine with my hue app. Everything works instantly again if i roll back to the previous ha version.
Did you actually look in the settings for the light in the Hue app ? Maybe the light is being reported as unavailable in the api while it isn't. That's why I asked you to confirm
Sorry i forgot to mention it.
I did review my settings and devices as you said. There are no issues reported. I did also powercycle the lightstrip.
Strange... When you click on the unavailable entity, is there a button to remove it ? If so, this is an orphaned entity and can be deleted (the correct one is recreated). If not, this entity is being reported as unavailable by the API. Question is why.

Hi,
I'm facing the same issue.
In older HA versions you had the ability (checkbox in integration settings and even older in the manual config an option) to show devices in HA, when they are given the 'unavailable' status in the HUE app. This happens a lot with non HUE branded zigbee devices that are connected trough the HUE bridge, even tough they work perfectly. When the checkbox was not checked in the older versions, it showed the 'unavailable' also as unavailable in HA.
It seems that the setting is removed from the integration. Which makes all the non HUE devices that are reported as unavailable by hue, even when they work, are given the same unavailable status in HA.
Indeed. That was one of the first things i was looking for. In the early hue integrations you did this in your configfile. Later on you could just flip a switch. Now theres nothing to make integrations available independed on their state.
I wasnt sure if i remembered this correctly, because there was also a switch for group integrations (also gone).

i will take a look at it tomorrrow again. thanks for your help.
@quinten94b ok thanks. So it seems that 3th party do not report their status correctly. Damn, I really hoped this was the key thing fixed with the new API, as the state is now derived directly from the zigbee status. Guess not. I'll add a workaround for 3th party lights then.
Good evening!
I confirm that I have the same issue with my OSRAM On/Off Plugs.
I have 4 of them in the house. All of them are working fine within the Hue ecosystem, All of them are reported as "Unavailable" in Home Assistant.
I remain available if you need ANY logs form my side too.
I can dig whatever you need.
Thx a lot !
I dont know if its ok in here, but i wanted to say "thank you". this fix works great.
i wish you a great time, buddy.
The problem
Since the latest update my osram lights arent working anymore. they are only shown with "entity not available".
The Lightstrips are working in the hue app just fine.
