Ecobee through HA Cloud limited? #64053

Closed bmorgan99 closed 2 years ago

bmorgan99 commented 2 years ago

The problem

When I disable ecobee in Google Home and only allow it through HA’s cloud service some commands no longer work. I can do things like increase/decrease temp and get current temp, but anything involving a comfort setting is not understood like “set upstairs thermostat to away”. I have nothing disabled in the cloud configuration.yaml.

I have confirmed this several times since my posting in the forum

What version of Home Assistant Core has the issue?

2021.12.9

What was the last working version of Home Assistant Core?

No response

What type of installation are you running?

Home Assistant Supervised This also occured when I previously used a raspberry pi in OS mode

Integration causing the issue

ecobee

Link to integration documentation on our website

https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/ecobee/

Example YAML snippet

In my case, "set main floor thermostat to Home" and every permutation I could devise results in, "Sorry, I didn't understand"

Enabling Ecobee in Google Home's Services consistently allows this to work.

Anything in the logs that might be useful for us?

Hey there @marthoc, mind taking a look at this issue as it has been labeled with an integration (ecobee) you are listed as a code owner for? Thanks! (message by CodeOwnersMention)
