Hue light groups disappeared #66603

Closed casperse closed 2 years ago

casperse commented 2 years ago

The problem

After upgrading to the latest version and adding another Hue bridge all my groups are gone? (Meaning the orig. HUB1 the groups there are also gone, and the new added HUB2 also dosent have any auto created light groups for each room)

What version of Home Assistant Core has the issue?

core-2022.2.6

What was the last working version of Home Assistant Core?

No response

What type of installation are you running?

Home Assistant OS

Integration causing the issue

Philips Hue

Link to integration documentation on our website

https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/hue/

Diagnostics information

No response

Example YAML snippet

I am only using the UI core integration

Anything in the logs that might be useful for us?

Havent found anything its like this feauture was just turned off?

Additional information

I have gone to the entities page and removed the filter for disabled and there is no default grouping of the lights in each room defined in the Philips Hue app. Sofar my only option would be to create the light groups manually :-( And I am not sure what will happen when I select a "home made" light group sent to Google Home? Pretty sure that I would loose the ability to select each lamp under each grouped light group

Hey there @balloob, @marcelveldt, mind taking a look at this issue as it has been labeled with an integration (hue) you are listed as a code owner for? Thanks! (message by CodeOwnersMention)

There's a fix on the way for this. You are probably running the beta program on your Hue bridge as this breaking change was created in a very recent Hue bridge firmware update.

Thanks for reply, much appreciated - my thought was that adding another HUB was the cause :-)
