We’re going to need you to try again with the logging. This log does not capture from startup and also does not include the HA parts of the logs.
See https://community.home-assistant.io/t/elk-m1-interface/4461/983 for the log config required. After that is added restart HA.
We need the version of your ElkM1 and M1XEP as well before we can proceed further.
Ignore that last request for ElkM1 version. I see that you included it in the bug report. And it answers the question I had. You are running 5.1.8. The "VN" (get version command) works from 5.1.12 and higher. So that explains why the integration does not work.
We could patch to "make it work" again, but the problem is we say we support 5.2.0 onward for a good reason. There are other things that do not interact well below 5.2.0.
So, I'm going to leave it with you to upgrade your panel and try this out again. I recommend closing this bug.
