  • What is the firmware version of your Stretch?
  • Which error information is shown in the HA LOGBOEK after the 'cannot connect` message appears?

Ok thanks. Hmm, with no information this will be difficult to solve.

Are you willing, and able(?), to install Plugwise-beta? See here on how to do that: https://github.com/plugwise/plugwise-beta#how-to-install

Why install plugwise-beta? Because it's much easier for me to make changes in the plugwise-beta code than in the Core plugwise code that you are using now.

bouwew commented 2 years ago

On second thought, don't install via HACS, meaning, don't install HACS first. I would want you to install an older plugwise-beta version but that one is not shown in HACS.

In need to think a little more on this, I have an idea about what the problem might be, but I don't know yet how to change the code so you can test, via Plugwise-beta.

Frans1949 commented 2 years ago

Can you advise me where to find it then?

plugwise documentation plugwise source (message by IssueLinks)

probot-home-assistant[bot] commented 2 years ago

Hey there @compatech, @brefra, @frenck, mind taking a look at this issue as it has been labeled with an integration (plugwise) you are listed as a code owner for? Thanks! (message by CodeOwnersMention)

bouwew commented 2 years ago

On 3rd thought, please install Plugwise-beta: https://github.com/plugwise/plugwise-beta#how-to-install And try adding your Stretch and let me know the result, including any information in the LOGBOEK.

bouwew commented 2 years ago

@Frans1949 Plugwise-beta v0.24.1 was released containing a few updates that should help with your problem. Meaning, there should be more info provided in the LOGBOEK when the "cannot connect" happens.

Frans1949 commented 2 years ago

Thanks for the update, I am busy to install Hacs, I notice i have to learn a lot about automatisering. But there is progress !

Yes, Home Assistant requires some learning :) Custom_components and HACS, and have you learned about Add-ons yet? https://www.home-assistant.io/addons/

Frans1949 commented 2 years ago

Install Hacs failed , I tryed a lot a lot of methods. I installed Home assistant with Hass.io, and I see that there are several ways to install HA.. Could it be that there is the start of my problem?

Could very well be. The preferred way is to install the Home Assistant Operating System. See here: https://www.home-assistant.io/installation/

Frans1949 commented 2 years ago

Thanks, I think I start all over

Hallo, can you help me with the next problem?

At NODO I bought a RFLink gateway,

And I tried to install it.

By the RFLink integration page searched for the port on which RFLink should listen.

I'm looking for something in the spirit of

port:/dev/serial/by-id/usb-id01234

Looked via Settings-->Devices&Settings

-->Supervisor

And what's next?

Also tried

Settingsà SystemàHardware

Then 3 dots and looked at port and usb

Nowhere to be found in the form of:

Port:/dev/serial/by-id/usb-id01234

I use Raspberry pi4 RPI4-64

Home assistant release 2022.8

@Frans1949 Do you know how to access the command-line on your Pi? If yes, enter the command: cd /dev/serial/by_id Now you should see the id's of the connected USB-devices.

bouwew commented 2 years ago

@Frans1949 please close this issue when the problem is solved, or when the problem is gone.

Frans1949 commented 2 years ago

I know how to acces the commandline. send a screenshot. problem not solved or gone. I stop with HA, cost me to much time
