Hey there @bdraco, @jrester, mind taking a look at this issue as it has been labeled with an integration (powerwall
) you are listed as a code owner for? Thanks!

The problem
tesla recently introduced an option to dump the energy from the powerwall to the grid during peak hours, to maximize cost savings. the powerwall integration seems to have an issue accounting for this.
i have attached screenshots to show what i'm talking about: i have two powerwalls, which give me 27 kwh of energy storage. in this scenario, they are at 100% until 4pm (which is when my peak hours start), and then start discharging (either to cover my house usage, or, in the case of this new option, cover my house usage AND dump anything extra to the grid).
in this case, the HA dashboard is showing that i consumed 9.5 kwh of battery and sent 10.4 kwh to the grid, which would leave me with 7.1 kwh still available (or 26% roughly of my 27 kwh capacity). however, as you can see from my powerwall UI, i'm still at 54% capacity.
i haven't yet figured out what exactly is being double-counted here, but there's definitely something wrong. i'll keep investigating, i just wanted to get this reported and on the record for now.
