Daikin integration taking >60 seconds to load #80404

The problem

The daikin integration takes >60 seconds to load consistently, and my logs have multiple entries of Update of climate.xxx is taking over 10 seconds.

image

I don't believe this is a local networking issue. I'm running a very standard network configuration using Ubiquiti equipment and have not issues controlling WiFi devices (including my daikin airconditioners via HA or the Daikin app). So the only issues I'm noticing are the long integration start up times and the update of climate.xxx errors, which does not affect functionality.

Just wanted to see if there is any quick fix to these minor problems.

I saw an issue has previously been raised - #52739 - with what appears to be the root cause with the potential fix. But that issue was closed on inactivity.

If indeed this is the known root cause, the fix as suggested would make a lot of sense to implement and will be much appreciated!

Hey there @fredrike, mind taking a look at this issue as it has been labeled with an integration (daikin) you are listed as a code owner for? Thanks! (message by CodeOwnersMention)

I'm having the same issue. This may be related to the consumption monitoring becaue pyDaikin seems to believe my units support it, but the data they're returning is wildly inaccurate.

Being able to disable all the energy monitoring would be great as I do that via my whole-house solar/battery monitoring system.
