I face the problem that setting state of zwave doesn't work at all . But if u turn on a light u see the state in hass
I suggest setting debug log level for light.zwave and paste it here. That will give us useful information that will show what happens.
@turbokongen
I'll provide some log as soon as this issue appears again. I just restarted home assistant. It might take some hours to "freeze"
This is an example of a dimmer zwave which I caan't turn on via frontend but see state change when manually turned on
pi@home-assistant:~ $ hassctl log |grep zwave.spots_entrance

Node 18 is a dimmer which won't react in frontend when i turn on the lights. I think i might setup the whole network again after resetting the z wave USB key?
strange also that it updates values of luminance but seems to be dead in home assistant
This issue is about the refresh_delay option. Node 18 does not have correct configuration values set under device_config according to the logs.
You have both polling_intensity and delay.
What is your polling_interval
?
I already reset my Zwave USB Controller and will add all devices new :P

I still see this happening on my network and it's really frustrating. Since 0.33.

This issue will be auto-closed because there hasn't been any activity for a few months. Feel free to open a new one if you still experience this problem 👍
Please see #6414 — this is still an issue in 0.47.1.
For example I have in my
zwave_device_config.yaml
:I turn the light on or off in the Home Assistant Web UI and about 3 seconds later the switch reverts, then about 10 seconds later than that the switch reflects the correct position of the light.
