Elk M1 integration - Failed to Connect #89516

Closed drirwin closed 1 year ago

drirwin commented 1 year ago

The problem

I am migrating off of Homeseer to HA. I currently have a Homeseer plugin to interface with my Elm M1G security pannel (UltraM1G3 by UltraJones, author). I have tried the Elm integration using discovered and manual entry with the same result (see screen capture images below). As a band-aid, I have implemented the Homeseer integration which is passing through devices/entites from my Homeseer system, which includes Elk M1G devices. This has allowed me to create various automations in HA that I previously did in Homeseer. At this point, Homeseer is serving as the interface device for my Elk pannel. I want to get HA directly connected to my Elk M1 to completely eliminate the Homeseer system and reduce the complexity. The images below proviide pre/post images of each required input/interaction with the Elk plugin. Also provided are log entries from Home Assistant Core (for both discovered and manual entry connect attempts). Please let me know what I am doing wrong for something that looks to be very straight forward. Thanks in advance for your help!... What I need to know is what version of firmware is running on your ElkM1 panel. Further, we only support the versions listed in the docs link I shared above.
