Cameras not streaming correctly to google home app #92764

Closed tungmeister closed 5 months ago

The problem

I've exposed all my cameras to google assistant however they don't work correctly within the google home app. When on my local network I can see live previews of the cameras as can be seen: image

however, when I select one it doesn't "play": image

when outside of my network the preview doesn't load: image

I've tried adding camaras in hass via various methods - frigate, direct link to the rstp stream etc but the results are the same.

I have home assistant exposed externally via my own domain and ssl cert. Using Home Assistant Cloud to expose to google.

this is happening to me also

interestingly they do stream in the home app on ios so I'm wondering if it's a codec issue on android? still not working outside my network though.

would be great if someone can find camera stream requirements for google_assistant integration. as in HA documentation it says only this. "camera (streaming, requires compatible camera)" I would really like to get that working also. It works only while in local network. My HA is accessible though and it was made to work via cloudflare. could it be some settings needs to be opened for cloudlfare integration?
