Different unit on entity when used 'with_unit'

Describe the issue you are experiencing

using the _cost and _compensation entities made by the Energy integration, I grouped these in the frontend. Using a template showing the unit, like

{{states(config.entity,with_unit=True)}}

shows the EUR unit correctly,

but clicking the more-info reveals the € sign

made me check the entity directly and the template is correct in showing EUR

have the unit be displayed consistently all through the UI
