Feedback

Since OS 11.0 This integration is non-functional. All of the other Integrations require a static IP or Dynamic DSN; however, once installed, YoLink no longer operates. I replies NGINX error; however, It is NOT installed, Only DuckDNS (Dynamic DNS) is installed. If there is some prerequisite of a compatible Dynamic DNS Services, It should be explained in the beginning of the documentation. Additionally, when I reached out for help, I was told "YoLink API supports SSL, However, if a network proxy is used, the MQTT client may not work." Shouldn't that detail also be included in the documentation? image I like many Home Assistant enthusiasts depend on that documentation. Especially if they invested in a product that advertises being "Home Assistant Compatible". I have started my Home Assistant instance from scratch repeatedly, trying desperately to get a functional instance of Home Assistant. No matter what I do, this Integration will not operate once DuckDNS is installed for obtaining that required "Dynamic" public address. I do not have a MQTT client installed, nor do I have NGINX reverse Proxy Installed.

Please, Please, Pretty Please, update the documentation or have a code writer figure out how to fix the API.

Additional information

No matter how installed, you are presented with the configuration screen (below) image Instructions are incomplete for Registering Application Credentials. I log into my yosmart.com account can not find any directions. I go to Home Assistant Application Credentials Page from Devices & Services but the API does not link. It repeatedly times out.

Hey there @matrixd2, mind taking a look at this feedback as it has been labeled with an integration (yolink) you are listed as a code owner for? Thanks!

Code owner commands Code owners of `yolink` can trigger bot actions by commenting: - `@home-assistant close` Closes the feedback. - `@home-assistant rename Awesome new title` Renames the feedback. - `@home-assistant reopen` Reopen the feedback. - `@home-assistant unassign yolink` Removes the current integration label and assignees on the feedback, add the integration domain after the command. - `@home-assistant add-label needs-more-information` Add a label (needs-more-information) to the feedback. - `@home-assistant remove-label needs-more-information` Remove a label (needs-more-information) on the feedback.

This error is caused by not using OAuth credentials correctly. It looks like you are not using HomeAssistant’s cloud integration, If you enable HomeAssistant cloud integration, you will be authenticated via the Account Linking service when adding YoLink integration without providing OAuth credentials.

@matrixd2, Are you saying I have to use and pay the Nabu Casa subscription service? It is extremely possible I missed a step in creating Home Assistant from scratch, since I have never used Nabu Casa before, I wouldn’t know what steps I was missing. Since January I have killed HA and started over about twice daily trying quite the variety of methods, steps, and anything suggested by my cries for help in the community. YoLink is extremely necessary for me, as it provides me my much needed medical communication as well as the other benefits of being the only “so called compatible” devices I know that use Lora (?) for distance. Thank You so much for your help. Meanwhile, I continue my mission of deleting and reinstalling HA from scratch hoping I stumble on that magical step making it operational again.

Account Linking service is free, but it relies on HomeAssistant cloud integration
