media_player.play_media NOT working -> fix! #35124

I spent quite some time trying to make the following devices actually PLAY something. (no luck so far) (everything else works great, just play itself fails!)

I managed to get the 2nd device (also available with the Frontier Silicion integration) to play music which I streamed from my local PC using an opensource software called SWYH

Maybe the feature-announcement of an older 1.2 version ring a bell?

I am not deep enough into the code, but I'd imagine that - if that code would be adopted/integrated into HA - one might allow to “awake” a lot more DNLR devices.

Any ideas who could help to solve this puzzle?!
