Device model, version and app version

Model Name: MacBook Air M3 macOS Version: 14.6.1 App Version: 2024.8 Safari Version: 17.6 (19618.3.11.11.5)

Home Assistant Core Version 2024.8.2

Describe the bug MacOS widgets disappeared from my desktop and from the MacOS widgets list. It seems like the Home Assistant widget service has disappeared from the MacOS settings.

To Reproduce Upgrade to 2024.8.

Expected behavior Widgets are persisted after the upgrade.

Screenshots N/A

Additional context I haven't yet rebooted. I'm holding off in case I can help debugging.

@omame please export your logs and send to Bruno.pantaleao@nabucasa.com

But most probably rebooting will make it work, I never had it on Mac but happens in iOS sometimes.

You attached just one TXT file, when you export logs a few files are exported inside a .zip, can you add it all please?

omame commented 2 months ago

Not being familiar with the export procedure, I just compressed the log files. Form resubmitted.

It happened to me today but after rebooting it has come back. I couldn't find the root cause yet, I'll update you when I have more information.

Can you try the latest beta? (Please reboot afterwards) https://testflight.apple.com/join/1AlPbnLZ

💯 I can confirm that Home Assistant is back in the widgets list, even before rebooting, and it persists after the system restart. My widgets are back on my desktop.
