home-sweet-gnome / dash-to-panel

An icon taskbar for the Gnome Shell. This extension moves the dash into the gnome main panel so that the application launchers and system tray are combined into a single panel, similar to that found in KDE Plasma and Windows 7+. A separate dock is no longer needed for easy access to running and favorited applications.

Customize positioning inside groups #1687

Open puttehi opened 2 years ago

puttehi commented 2 years ago

Describe the idea or feature you'd like I would like to customize the positions of the panels/widgets (clock, apps, other gnome extensions) inside the groups (left, center, right, system, ...). Additionally, I would like to change the group they belong to (move from right group to center group for example).

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. Not really, more of a customization thing. I'd like to setup my panel just as I'd like, instead of being forced to a default.

Thanks for this extension. It has been extremely good! I'm also open for contributing, but would welcome some help getting started with the codebase and context to start working on a PR.
