home-sweet-gnome / dash-to-panel

An icon taskbar for the Gnome Shell. This extension moves the dash into the gnome main panel so that the application launchers and system tray are combined into a single panel, similar to that found in KDE Plasma and Windows 7+. A separate dock is no longer needed for easy access to running and favorited applications.

Add Workspace switch indicator when you switch between windows on a different workspaces #1781

Describe the idea or feature you'd like When you switch to window on a different workspace there's an animation. But if you switch workspaces indicator shows up as well. Some users disable animations globally or specifically for workspace (with extensions like Instant Workspace Switcher for GNOME 40+) so it would nice to have workspace switch indicator.

Screenshot of the workspace switch indicator

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. For me the main reason to disable animations was the bug #1698

I would prefer a workspace switcher button as many workspaces would mean many dots and thus would result in needless clutter
