home-sweet-gnome / dash-to-panel

An icon taskbar for the Gnome Shell. This extension moves the dash into the gnome main panel so that the application launchers and system tray are combined into a single panel, similar to that found in KDE Plasma and Windows 7+. A separate dock is no longer needed for easy access to running and favorited applications.

Strange box on icons in ubuntu 24 LTS #2136

Just upgraded to ubuntu 24 lts and now it seems that on the running icon a new effect takes place. It probably results from a superposition of an effect from the operating system onto the dash to panel config. You see, it's this strange lighter box that surrounds the icon. It would be nice to have it removed. Thanks!

2118 this solved the issue for me.

It actually looks worst than pictured here. It is a double square, i.e. a square within a square, as already captured in https://github.com/home-sweet-gnome/dash-to-panel/issues/2118

(The suggested fix found in #2118 seems to work without any problem, so far...)
