[Bug]: [EufySecurity-2.1.7] ERROR: xxxx Changing guard mode to Home timed out! #334

What happened?

Homebridge : v1.6.1 OS | Raspbian GNU/Linux Bullseye (11) NodeJS : v18.16.1 Camera : Eufy SoloCam S40

Hello I managed one time to switch between different modes. But it's not working anymore.

I got these messages : [EufySecurity-2.1.7] WARN: xxx Changing guard mode to Homedid not complete. Retry... [EufySecurity-2.1.7] ERROR: xxx Changing guard mode to Home timed out!

I tried to uninstall / install again --> does not work.

The plug in has worked for me for over a year but I, too, am now getting this error every time I change the mode.

Same here, started to happen recently. Tried to change my Eufy account, and it connects but can't change the security modes.

Having the exact same issues. Tried everything from re-logging in from guest admin account to completely deleting the plugin and re-installing. I've isolated the problem is the with the plugin itself. Started about 4 days ago.

The last plugin update seemed to fix it for a day for me and then the problem resumed.

Hi. Please remove the « Stale » status as the bug is still there and right now (with the latest 2.2.5 version installed) almost no action works, neither accessing the video feed of the cams or changing any homebase security mode.

Edit : using bêta 2.3.0 does work though 🎊🎉

Hi, I have this issue too. The problem occurs not directly after startup of Homebridge, but after a short time. Before that the plugin does work and Homekit is able to change the guard mode. Then sometimes the camera reacts after a delay (I guess a retry mechanism is trying for a few times?), but in the end the camera stops responding.

Still exists on 2.2.21.

I started getting this error today with 3.3.0, it was working fine before
