Sorry this pr has a bunch of unsquashed stuff that was already squashed in. You can resquash it?

I added an action to build the safari extension - the app store has a tool that can pull new builds automatically from github branches.
I added a readme in the safari folder as a reminder of how to do this
I updated for latest xcode

fyi, I sent v 1.4.0 to the app store.

hey @christopherpickering could you just remove package-lock.json and don't update yarn.lcok? I can't push code to this PR to fix them.
