Note that if you clone hmt-editors-template with an appropriate name in your vm2015, and run the editor's template script adjustnames.sh, it will set these scripts up properly for your repository or indeed any repository. That's why they should be blown out of vm2015.

The vm2015 repository should not have palview or validate scripts: these belong in editorial repositories.
Versions are included in the HMT editors template repository: https://github.com/homermultitext/hmt-editors-template/tree/master/scripts
