mp4s (gfy's) crawl with [Show Images] (especially with multiple pages) #4459

Show Images with a ton of mp4's crawls (on every browser, every OS) as I scroll down the page.

I think it could be fixed if there was a test to pause videos that weren't in viewport, and play when they are in viewport.

That is implemented. See if you have the option onlyPlayMutedWhenVisible enabled.

@larsjohnsen Thanks. It seems enabled, but the videos still drag.

Some videos seem to load much faster than others. I would think it was Gfycat's fault, but if I go directly to the Gfycat page with the slow-loading video, they load/playback instantly.

Does anyone else seem to have this problem?

Collaborators could probably test by throttling their device and connection a little bit and scrolling through pages of gfycats after hitting Show Images.
