Hello there...
In the past, before RES sharded the user tag lists (for storage/speed reasons, not "political" reasons), they were honestly mostly used in abusive/negative ways.
While we try to generally be agnostic about feature adds, we get a little concerned when features may be misused, and generally try to stay away from it. I think this would definitely tread close to the line of "too potentially controversial", but I am open to conversation about it.
I've been thinking about writing a new module to allow users to upload or paste a CSV document of users and maybe subreddits that they don't wish to see. This feature would be modeled after Twitter's block list feature . I think this feature would be useful for users to share lists with each other with certain category of users such as bots or subreddits that people don't wish to see (Youtube subreddits, Political subreddits). The user could also export a CSV of the users/subreddits they have ignored to share with others.
I know this feature could be controversial so I am opening up the floor to discussion.
